Holkham Hall is a member of the Historic Houses. Formed in 1973, the Historic Houses exists to provide practical advice and support to the owners of around 1500 important historic properties in private ownership. These houses range from the great palaces to small manor houses and most remain lived-in family homes. As important are the contents, works of art and the gardens and designed landscapes which surround theses houses. By becoming a Friend and supporting the work of the Historic Houses, in return your membership offers many benefits including free access during normal opening time to nearly 300 individual houses, castles and garden and the quarterly magazine and enjoy many benefits.
