Activities

Strap in, step up, hop on, climb aboardand have a blast.

Whether you choose to cycle, row, walk or even swing from the trees, you’re guaranteed a great day out at Holkham.

Within Holkham Park you’ll discover our Cycle Hire hut, located close to the car park, which is open everyday during the warmer months. It’s hard to miss our Ropes Course, popping up above the trees – strap on and you’re guaranteed a great view! During the summer you can hop on a boat and take to the water like one of our resident geese – remember to bring your book of poetry to read aloud. If that all sounds too much, why not head out for a stroll around Holkham Park before settling down for lunch in the Courtyard Café.

Hop on your bike and follow our way-marked routes to explore all corners of the park, passing many landmarks such as the Obelisk, the Ice House and the Monument on your way. Our Cycle Hire offers a great range of bicycles, electric bikes and trailers – there’s even one for your dog!

Ropes Course

With your harness on, get your feet off the ground and take to the treetops on our Ropes Course. Do you dare balance on the beams, tiptoe over swinging bridges, and zoom on our two zip wires?

Boat Hire

Enjoy a slower pace and take in the stunning views as you while away a pleasant afternoon on Holkham Lake. Hire one of our rowing boats and relax as you admire the passing wildlife.

Walking

Rich in wildlife, scenery, and historic monuments, Holkham is the perfect place to explore on foot. Choose from a variety of trails carefully created for you to enjoy all aspects of the park. Enjoy routes spanning just over one mile, up to six.

Woodland Play Area

Adventure awaits in the woods! Children can go wild playing in the trees, enjoying high level walkways, treehouses, swings and a zip wire. There’s a special area for tots, and of course a place for parents to perch and enjoy a cuppa.

Horse riding

The golden expanse of Holkham Beach makes for a horse riders paradise. Gallop, trot, paddle, and splash around undisturbed along miles and miles of our glorious stretch of the North Norfolk coastline.
