Nature is in love this half term, as we celebrate our feathered friends and some of the other creatures that can be found in Holkham Park. With the bare trees and the peace and quiet, there is no better time to go bird spotting or spend some quality time together. Join us for a whole host of events and find out what’s love got to do with it…

‘Love is in the Air’ Trail

Explore Holkham Park, following our trail, to learn how love blossoms between creatures found in Holkham Park. Free, no need to book.

Love Shack, Baby!

Seek out our hidden ‘love shack’ down by the lake, for the perfect Instagram moment. Free, no need to book

Holkham Stories and Happily Ever Afters Trail
Daily 10am-4pm
Our fascinating exhibition will be open, with a new fun trail. Holkham has been host to many love stories through the ages, follow the trail to learn more about influential couples from Holkham’s history. £5.50 per adult, £2.50 per child.

Learn more about the animals, plants and fungi that can be found on the circular walk around Holkham Lake. Free, no need to book

Build a Bird Box Workshop
Monday 14th to Friday 18th February, 10.30am, 11.30am, 1.30pm & 2.30pm
Join our wildlife expert to learn about the importance of promoting birds in your garden, build your own bird box and decorate at home. £9 per child.

Avian Art Workshop

Join local artist, Mary Blue, in a fun, creative session which uses different techniques and materials to create a bird themed masterpiece. £6 per child.

The Details

The Build a Birdbox workshop takes place in the Education Room, just off the Lady Elizabeth Wing courtyard, with a maximum of 12 children per session. Sessions last approx 50 minutes. The Avian Art workshop takes place in the Lady Elizabeth Wing, with a maximum of 15 children per session. Sessions last approx 1 hour. Both have level access. Workshops are suitable for ages 5-16. All children must be accompanied by an adult (max 1 adult per child). Accompanying adults are free of charge. We are sorry but dogs, other than assistance dogs, are not permitted at the workshops. If you are arriving by car, a parking charge of £5 is payable in Holkham Park, redeemable in our gift shop or courtyard café on purchases of £30 or more.
