Holkham by Candlelight –

Perhaps one of Norfolk’s most popular Christmas events, join us for Christmas at Holkham Hall for an unforgettable festive experience. Start your journey in the magnificent Marble Hall surrounded by dazzling decorations and be amazed as you explore the sparkling state rooms. Our fantastic Hall guides will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. Explore the rooms at you own pace or if you would prefer, we have a guided visit available.
Festive Family Day
19th and 20th December
Perfect for Christmas lovers big and small – our festive family day might be exactly what you’re looking for. Explore the magical state rooms but keep your eyes peeled; Father and Mother Christmas and their wonderfully wacky jingle-elves will be joining the festivities too!
Christmas Market
11th, 12th, 13th December
Perfect for Christmas shopping or treats for yourself, our market will see over 60 local producers showcasing the very best seasonal food, drink and gifts Norfolk has to offer. If you want to combine a a visit to Holkham by Candlelight too, then be quick – these tickets sell out fast!

Christmas Workshops
4th, 14th, 18th December
Block printing workshop – a handmade Christmas
Join us on the 4th December to give your gifts a personal touch with a block printing workshop. You’ll learn how to use a collection of traditional, hand-carved Indian wooden printing blocks before desiging your own set of six fabulous Christmas crackers.
Christmas calligraphy workshop
Discover the beautiful contemporary style of handwriting with Clare on the 14th December. Immerse yourself into the intricate art of calligraphy as you learn to create elegant letterforms with confidence and come away with a newfound skill.
Floragami paper flower workshop
Bring your creativity and enthusiasm on the 18th December and learn how to create a festive favourite, Poinsettia potted plants. Using Floragami’s signature hand-dyed papers, Meg will guide you through every step of the intricate process, so come along to create a sustainable, delicate decoration.
Holkham by Candlelight – Twixmas
27th, 28th, 29th, 30th December
The magic continues after Christmas too! Make the most of those in-betweeny days and come and soak up the last of the Christmas magic on a Twixmas visit to Holkham by Candlelight.
