Join the Holkham Kitchen Disco with Dr Dance this Christmas

As any previous visitor to Holkham by Candlelight will tell you, our decorated state rooms are always full of surprises! Each year, we collaborate with a huge variety of creatives to bring our festive spectacle to life, and this year is no different.

We’re excited to share that behind the scenes, we’ve been working with Dr. Peter Lovatt, also known as Doctor Dance, on something we’re calling the Holkham Kitchen Disco. It’s all about one simple thing: spreading the joy of moving your body to music. Join us at Holkham by Candlelight and experience the magic for yourself!

We won’t give away too much just yet – there are still a few weeks before we reveal our surprise. But in the meantime, we wanted to introduce the man behind the movement.

Meet Doctor Dance

Dr. Peter Lovatt, who we know as Doctor Dance, is a dance psychologist who has dedicated his career to exploring the link between our mind and our movement, specifically dancing. A former professional dancer turned academic, he’s passionate about helping people feel better through dance. Peter is also a Norfolk resident, so we couldn’t think of anyone better to help spread some Kitchen Disco joy at Holkham this festive season.
