The Lookout, Holkham wins a RIBA East Award 2019

May 2019 - We are proud to announce that The Lookout, on Holkham National Nature Reserve has won a RIBA East Award.

RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) describe their awards as being ‘internationally regarded as a mark of excellence, recognising the best architecture, architects, research, and students. For 50 years, the RIBA awards and prizes for buildings have championed and celebrated the best architecture in the UK and around the world, no matter the form, size or budget.”

Officially opened in October 2018, The Lookout sits on Lady Anne’s Drive and looks out over the Holkham National Nature Reserve. It was built as an understated visitor centre, comprising lavatories, a small café and an orientation exhibition explaining the adjacent wetland and wider nature reserve.

It was designed by architects Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios and Lucas+Western.
