Higglers Barn

On the outskirts of Wells-next-the-Sea, up on the hill next to the cattle sheds, Higglers Barn had fallen out of use, having been superseded by contemporary farm buildings. It is now being redeveloped into two 3-bedroom homes. The traditional brick and flint structure will be completely renovated with modern interiors, air source heat pumps, solar panels and EV charging points. Once finished, the homes will be added to Holkham’s rental properties and leased to employees of our land-based businesses.

Working with project manager Mark Suiter and a small team led by Wells-based site manager Ed Burton, we are due to complete the project in autumn 2022 and look forward to handing the keys over to our new tenants.
