May 15, 2025 | Things to do | 19 minute read

Food, glorious food! We can’t live without it, and it can bring us together too. Norfolk is a county full of creative, artisan producers and local produce (we’re known as the ‘breadbasket of England!), so if you’re looking for a food and drink festival, market or event to tuck into this summer, there’s plenty to choose from! Whether you’re local or here on holiday, why not gather your family and friends and head to one of these food festivals, street food events or foodie markets in Norfolk? We all know foodie events can make for a great day out!

Holkham’s Feast in the Park

Selected weekends in July + August, Holkham Park. Free entry, £6 parking charge applies.

Topped chips in front of Holkham Hall. People relaxing on the grass.

The much-loved Feast in the Park is back for summer 2025! Enjoy live music, stunning views and – most importantly – seriously good street food from Norfolk’s favourite foodie pop ups here in the heart of Holkham Park.

Each weekend, you can expect several food vendors cooking up a range of delicious street food from around the world. Whether you’re after hot or cold, sweet or savoury, there’s something for everyone!

Plus, the Adnams bar will be open too, with beers made using grain from Holkham’s farm.

Why not make it a day out? There are so many things to do here at Holkham! Come and potter around the park, enjoy the history of Holkham Hall, wander in the Walled Garden, or get active with cycle hire or on the ropes course. Then, tuck into some tasty treats and sitting back on a picnic blanket in the sun at the food festival. Does it get much better than that?!

Check the foodie and live music line-up here and start messaging your mates to make some plans!

North Norfolk Food and Drink Festival

30th and 31st August, Holkham Walled Garden. Free entry, £6 parking charge applies.

If you’re into food and drink, then you won’t want to miss this!

Now in its 16th year, the North Norfolk Food and Drink Festival welcomes you and over 60 local artisan producers to Holkham’s lovely Walled Garden.

Stallholders from across Norfolk will be bringing their very best products and produce, ready to tickle your taste buds! Fill your bags with gorgeous local goodies to tuck into at home or gift to others (if you’re feeling generous!).

And looking at all that tasty food is bound to make you peckish, so there’ll be a whole host of concessions and pop-ups with street food and sweet treats to enjoy during your day.

What’s more — you can learn and be inspired in the live cookery theatre, and children can enjoy various activities and face painting too!

Enjoy free entry to the festival, which is run as a not-for-profit organisation set up to promote small, local businesses in our wonderful county.

Local farmers and producers offering a whole host of different food and drink will be there, happy to chat with you about their products and with samples and tasters to try.

Creake Abbey is just a 10 minute drive from Holkham, so why not make it a full day out? Visit the market and Creake Abbey shops in the morning before heading to enjoy Feast in the Park or a beach walk later in the day!

Okay, so it’s not exactly a food festival, but there are always plenty of food and drink producers at Holt’s monthly Sunday Market, so we thought it was worth including!

Holt Market is a great spot for a mooch as you browse the stalls of independent crafters, makers, artisans and producers. The main street is taken over with stalls, and a wonderful selection of food offerings can typically be found selling everything from kimchi and kombucha to chocolate and cheese! There’s street food to enjoy there and then, or items to pick up for your store cupboard and fridge or for a lovely pressie for someone else.

Norfolk Lobster & ‘Fizz’ Festival

25th-27th July 2025, The White Horse at Brancaster

Celebrate local lobster and sit back with a sparkling wine this summer, enjoying the views over the marshes of Brancaster Staithe (where you can see stunning sunsets, if the weather’s kind!). There’ll be live music to enjoy too.

First come, first served – no need to book.

Annual Brancaster Oyster Festival

13th-17th August 2025, The White Horse at Brancaster Staithe

Another celebration of seafood at The White Horse, but at this – their flagship event – oysters are the offering, alongside fizz, tunes and views.

Now expanded to five days due to popularity, there’s plenty of time to tuck in!

Sandringham Game & Country Fair

13th and 14th September 2025, Sandringham Estate

Head to Sandringham this September for the return of their Game & Country Fair. You’ll find plenty of food and drink stalls alongside old heritage displays including jousting, falconry and clay shooting. Foodie stands include those selling cheeses, meats, pastries and cakes from local and national producers. And yes, there will be samples to try before you buy! There’s also a real ale and cider bar, cookery theatre, and live music to keep you entertained.

Gosh, writing this has got our tummies rumbling and ready for summer days with street food and friends! We at Holkham hope we’ll see you at Feast in the Park, the North Norfolk Food & Drink Festival or at another of our events this season. If you’re looking for things to do this summer, we’ve plenty on offer!

And if you’re looking for more things to do this summer, take a look at this bumper guide to what’s on and what you can do at Holkham during summer 2025.
