A Great Day Out At Holkham This Summer.

As summer arrives in full bloom, there’s no better time to spend a day at Holkham and the North Norfolk coast. Whether you’re visiting with family, friends or enjoying some time to yourself, you’ll find beautiful scenery, family activities and delicious food waiting for you!

To begin the day there is nothing better than taking a visit to Holkham park, in north Norfolk! A friendly attraction, where you can take a calming, peaceful, colourful walk around the park, with your friends, family or your own company. The peaceful scenery can be a great start to your day! You may even be able to see some deer and some other wildlife at the park!

If you’re feeling brave, why not have a go on the ropes course – a  perfect way to spend a morning with your family and will certainly give you a boost of adrenaline for the rest of the day! Suitable for children, and much enjoyed by adults too.

If you’re after a bite to eat, the Courtyard Café is a great place to enjoy the sunshine and have a chat about you’re lovely day so far. It offers sweet treats, sandwiches, sausage rolls, and you can pick up a packed lunch for the little ones too!

Next, take a 5 minute drive down the coast to Wells beach – a North Norfolk gem, to have a walk or play on the beach or a swim in the sea. A fun, enjoyable experience for all.  At the beach  you could build a sand castle, fly a kite, play sports on the sand or you could swim and cool down and take a dip in the sea and enjoying the calm waves washing over you. However, if you are going to swim in the sea make sure to check tide times and always swim safely. 

If you’re not too tired after a trip to the beach, a great way to end the day is going crabbing, an enjoyable coastal attraction. It’s a fun and engaging pastime to do with your family, friends and in your own company. If you’re feeling hungry for tea, after a day of summer fun, you could take a visit to one of Wells fish and chip shops, serving delicious food to be enjoyed by everyone! You can choose from a variety of delicious foods, and enjoy them either in the fish and chip shop or outside admiring the north Norfolk coastline!
