School holiday fun at Holkham February half term

Explore, learn and play this February half term!

Looking for family friendly things to do in North Norfolk this half term? Look no further – there’s a whole bunch to fun to be had whether you fancy an adventure up high on our ropes course, immerse yourself on tales of wonder and magic at The Festival of Little Stories, want to get creative at our illustration workshops, spot some wonderful wildlife or explore the great outdoors. We’ve got you covered!

The Festival of Little Stories

15th – 21st February

Join us in Holkham Park for some fun book related activities including storytelling, local author meet and greets and a fun trail. The Norfolk Children’s Book Centre pop-up shop will be set up in the Lady Elizabeth Wing – pop by and see if anything takes your fancy.

Holkham Ropes Course

14th – 22nd February 

10am – 4pm (Last entry at 3pm)

If you’re looking for a fun family activity in North Norfolk, our ropes course could be just the ticket! Climb aboard the course and start your adventure over wobbly and swinging bridges before getting your feet safely back to the ground with a speedy descent down our two ziplines!

Illustration workshops

18th and 19th February 

Learn how to draw animals in the fun and charming style of Charli Vince on Wednesday and Peter Kavanagh on Thursday.

Holkham parkrun

14th and 21st February 

Grab your trainers and join us for a fun, free, family friendly 5k run, jog or walk through Holkham Park. Perfect for little legs to let off steam, get out about in nature, spot some Holkham landmarks and reward yourself with a hot chocolate or sausage roll from the Courtyard Café.

Woodland Play Area

Open daily, 10am – 4pm throughout half term.

Grab a coffee from the kiosk and watch as your little ones climb, swing and slide around the Woodland Play Area.

Nature Trail

Holkham park open daily 

Explore the big outdoors and stroll around Holkham Lake, spotting all the wonderful wildlife and landmarks as you go.

Courtyard Café and Gift Shop

Cosy up with a cuppa and a (if we do say so ourselves!) delicious sausage roll in our Courtyard Café and browse local delights in our Gift Shop. These will be open throughout the school holiday.
