You’ll find only treats at Holkhamthis October half term!

Looking for family friendly things to do in North Norfolk ? Look no further – there’s a whole bunch to fun to be had whether you fancy an autumnal outdoor adventure in the Halloween Garden, want to get creative, swing from the treetops, spot some wonderful wildlife or explore the great outdoors. We’ve got you covered!

The Halloween Garden

26th October – 30th October

Bundle up and step into the Walled Garden for pumpkin carving, leaf crunching, story telling, trail stomping and face painting (on selected dates). Learn more

 

Ropes Course

21st October – 1st November 

Swing from the trees and test your head for heights on our ropes course. Begin your trail of discovery through the treetops, over wobbly crossings and swinging bridges before getting your feet safely back to the ground with a descent down our two ziplines. Learn more

 

Deer and Wildlife Safari

25th – 31st October

Hop aboard our tractor-trailer for a whistle-stop journey around Holkham deer park. Sit tight while our knowledgeable guides tell you all about the resident herd of Fallow Deer that call Holkham home. Learn more

Paper toad workshop

31st October 

In this hands-on workshop your child will learn all about Natterjack Toads and craft their very own toad card to take home. Learn more

 

Halloween fancy dress Parkrun!

25th October 

Dig out your witches hat and join us for a fun, free, friendly 5k through Holkham Park in spooktacular fancy dress! Learn more

 

Cycle hire

Open daily 

Autumn is one of the most beautiful times of the year to visit Holkham Park and on two wheels you can see a great deal more. Our Cycle Hire offers a great range of bicycles, electric bikes and trailers – there’s even one for your dog, hop on and get exploring! Learn more

Parkrun

Holkham Hall, Walled Garden and Holkham Stories

Join us for the final Hall open days of the season! Take in old masters and marvel the Palladian architecture on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays until 30th October.

Step through the Venetian gates and explore our tranquil and enchanting Walled Garden dating back to the late 1700s. Our Walled Garden is open daily, however please note the Halloween Garden event will be taking place from 26th – 30th October and will be a ticketed event entry only, regular entry pricing returns on the 31st October. The Walled Garden closes for the season on the 2nd November.

Holkham Stories will be open daily (until 2nd November) for you to delve into our yesteryears, experience our today, and be inspired by our trailblazing tomorrow.

Holkham Park, Cafe and Gift Shop

Crunch through autumn leaves in Holkham Park, cosy up with a cuppa and a (if we do say so ourselves!) delicious sausage roll in our Courtyard Café and browse local delights in our Gift Shop. These will be open throughout the school holiday.
