Willow Weaving Workshop – Pigs

This workshop is now sold out.

During this one day workshop with local artist Karen Bek, you will learn how to weave a willow pig sculpture for your garden. Using a combination of hoops and long fine rods, you will be guided through the process of making a natural sculpture. With a big belly, floppy ears and tiny trotters, your willow pig will look right at home snuffling amongst the shrubbery in your garden.

This course is designed with wellbeing in mind. Weaving and connecting with natural materials is a therapeutic process that allows us to slow down and focus.

Basketry can be quite hard on your hands and some degree of hand strength is required. This workshop is suitable for beginners and improvers and all craft materials are included.

On arrival please enter via the North Gates using the postcode NR23 1RH, park in the Main Car Park and make your way to  Visitor Reception. The workshop will take part in the Education Room, where hot drinks will be provided throughout the day and extra refreshments will be available to purchase from the Courtyard Café.
