Easter at Holkham
We enjoyed four days of ‘egg-citing’ activities over Easter. Despite the April showers, we welcomed lots of happy bunnies and their families. The sun even came out to play on Easter Sunday!
In the Hall, children had the opportunity to create special pictures to take home, they tested their sense of smell with some silly sniffing (the garlic box was particularly memorable) and they decorated delicious cupcakes in the Old Kitchen. There were lots of hidden eggs in The Field to Fork Experience, along with some Easter maths teasers! Families hopped aboard the Easter ‘Eggspress’ for a free trailer ride over to the walled garden where there was even more fun to be had! Other than puddle hopping, children could pop into the magical yurt for storytelling, there were challenges, treasure hunts and face painting on the lawn. Budding clowns practiced their circus skills and enjoyed magic shows from wonderfully wacky entertainers. Easter madness continued in the Courtyard Café with delicious food, drinks and Easter quizzes!
