Lino printing workshop with Sue Welfare

Unlock the creativity at your fingertips!

Suitable for beginners and those with some experience of lino printing. The day’s workshop will be informal and relaxed with lots of support and guidance. Predominately participants will be working using black and white, but other options will be available.

Light, shade, line and texture will all be explored in our print ideas and a range of mark marking techniques and skills will be developed, before setting to work on your final masterpiece!

Participants are welcome to bring along any inspirational images or ideas they would like to develop as prints. Sue Welfare, workshop leader, will also bring along plenty of print ideas for you to choose from.

Our final prints will be A5 sized and you’ll be printing a small edition to take home with you, along with your blocks.

Lunch and refreshments will be included.

All specialist materials and tools are provided, although participants are asked to bring along some basic drawing equipment (pencil, eraser, ruler) and wear either old clothes or bring along an old shirt or an apron to protect your clothes. Printing is inevitably messy!
