What’s on

One Day Basketry Workshop

This one day basketry workshop will teach you how to weave a round or oval frame basket that can be used as a serving platter, display piece or gathering basket. You will also learn lots of basketry techniques to take home with you, enabling you to create many more beautiful baskets in the future.

You will have a choice of willows to choose from to create a unique basket to take home. Spend the day with willow weaver, Karen Bek, learning how to create and shape a frame, before selecting and using willows to weave the basket and exploring options for handles if required.

This course is designed with wellbeing in mind. Weaving and connecting with natural materials is a therapeutic process that forces us to slow down and focus.

All craft materials are included, as well as hot drinks throughout the day. The Courtyard Café will be open for you to purchase lunch and any additional refreshments. Sorry no dogs, except assistance dogs on this workshop.
