At the heart of this 25,000-acre estate on the Norfolk Coast sits Holkham Hall. A Palladian mansion and family home for over 300 years, Holkham specialises in one-of-a-kind celebrations that inspire creativity, wonder and the highest levels of service. Whichever way you look, Holkham captivates the heart and mind. The unspoilt sand dunes, breath-taking landscapes, sparkling lakes and grand interiors offer endless possibilities for to make your wedding day spectacular.
Holkham has just a limited number of wedding dates available each year, to ensure every couple receives our undivided attention. We’ll personally be on hand throughout the planning process and on the big day itself to ensure that you have an unforgettable day.

Get in touch if you are planning you wedding for 2026 onwards! We also have a small number of dates remaining in 2025 and early 2026 (January to March), but suggest arranging a chat with us as soon as possible if these are of interest.

Accommodation
Holkham’s enviable position on the North Norfolk Coast means we are a stone’s throw from a wide selection of accommodation.
The 20 bedrooms at our onsite hotel, The Victoria, offer relaxed, comfortable and luxutuios accommodation with individuality. The entire Ancient House building at The Victoria (10 bedrooms) can be reserved for your wedding guests.
We also have a number of unique self-catering lodges available to hire across the estate.

Now you’ve found the venue, it’s time to find the perfect suppliers to bring your day to life. We work with a number of fantastic suppliers, from florists and photographers, make up artists and cake makers, to caterers and musicians.
We know you and your guests will want somewhere special to stay. Luckily, with our enviable location on the North Norfolk coast, there’s plenty of choice. There are a number of hotels and self-catered options nearby, both on the estate and in nearby towns and villages such as Wells-next-the-Sea, Burnham Market, Blakeney and Brancaster.

FAQs: Wedding locations and venues at Holkham
We have a range of different venues at Holkham that can accommodate anything from 2 – to 500 guests.
Our largest ceremony space can hold up to 300; and our marquee sites offer the flexibility to create a space that will fit parties with large numbers of guests.
Holkham Beach forms part of the National Nature Reserve and therefore we ensure commercial use is minimised to protect this precious landscape within our care.
However, we have several outdoor options within Holkham Park.
We are also delighted to be able to offer photographs on Holkham beach. This privilege is reserved exclusively for those couples that choose Holkham as their wedding venue.
Our estate church – St Withburga’s – is located on the north side of the estate and is accessible via the A149 Coast Road between the Holkham and Burnham Market turning.
Alternatively, there are local churches in the nearby areas, including St Mary’s Church in Burnham Market, All Saints Church in Burnham Thorpe and St Margaret’s in Burnham Market.
Holkham Hall remains a lived in family home, and therefore we do not offer exclusive venue hire. However, we only hold one wedding a day on the Estate.
We offer the option of a ceremony only wedding at certain times of the year, and on weekdays. For more information, please speak to a member of the team.

Most weddings at Holkham take place on a Friday or Saturday. However, we are able to offer midweek weddings too.
FAQs: Planning your perfect wedding with us
We are fortunate enough to work with some of the best suppliers in Norfolk. We operate an approved list of for catering, floristry, marquee and fireworks. Each of these suppliers knows Holkham extremely well and has a good understanding of the standards we expect and complexities of working in a building like ours. This ensures your wedding day runs as smoothly as possible.
For weddings taking place in either Holkham Hall, or the Lady Elizabeth Wing, alcohol can be purchased through Holkham, or alternatively we do offer the option of corkage on wine and fizz. For receptions taking place in a marquee, you are able to provide the alcohol yourself.
Your dedicated wedding co-ordinator will be on hand throughout the whole process from your first visit to Holkham right up to the big day itself.
You will have planning meetings together and they are always on hand to answer any questions you may have.
If a date is available, our experienced team can work with you to pull together a wedding in a matter of weeks.
However – it is important to remember that you must give notice at least 29 days before your ceremony. You must hold your ceremony within 12 months of ‘giving notice’.
If you have specific dates in mind, we suggest booking around 18 months in advance. This will also give you peace of mind and plenty of time to plan.
The average is about 9-12 months in advance.

Yes. On your wedding day, you have a dedicated car park for your guests just a short stroll away from the front of Holkham Hall, and there is a team of car parking attendants who are on hand to help your guests.
It is – we know that confetti moment is a key part of the day!
However, we ask that your confetti is fully bio-degradable and that it’s thrown in the dedicated areas.
Yes, we do! We have our on-site hotel, The Victoria, situated on the North Drive off the A149 coast road. The hotel has 20 bedrooms and a large bridal suite. Ten of these bedrooms are within Ancient House, which can be booked in its entirety.
We also have a number of holiday lodges and cottages on the estate, bookable through Norfolk Cottages.
There is a midnight end time for our wedding receptions.
We do also offer the option to extend this till 1.00am.
Yes, fireworks are allowed and must be provided through our approved supplier Titanium Fireworks. They fire from across the lake, making an impressive backdrop.
