We are currently updating our standard ticket pricing to reflect the UK Government’s Great British Summer Savings. Tickets purchased for visits between 25th June to 1st September 2026 inclusive will be eligible for the reduced 5% VAT rate.
What is the Great British Summer Savings?
The UK Government have launched the Great British Summer Savings scheme to help people enjoy days out for less. VAT will be discounted on eligible activities, including visits to Holkham Hall, Walled Garden and Holkham stories, Ropes course, Outdoor Theatre and children’s meals in the Courtyard Café from 25th June to 1st September inclusive.
When is this happening?
The reduced 5% VAT rate applies to qualifying admission tickets and children’s menu meals for visits from 25th June to 1st September inclusive.
Frequently asked questions
- Standard admission tickets for adults and children to the Hall, Walled Garden and Holkham Stories (combined and individual). Please note that add-ons to standard admission do not qualify, including tractor trailer tours.
- Entry to the Ropes Course (all tickets qualify)
- Outdoor theatre tickets – only family and child tickets qualify – the scheme does not apply to stand alone adult tickets even if they are with children.
- Children’s meal in the Courtyard Café qualifies, if purchased as the full meal – individual items do not qualify.

The UK Government has launched the Great British Summer Savings scheme to help people enjoy days out for less. VAT will be reduced from 20% to 5% on eligible activities, including qualifying tickets to Holkham from 25th June to 1st September 2026 inclusive.
If you have booked qualifying tickets for visit dates in this period (25th June to 1st September 2026 inclusive) purchased at the 20% VAT price, are eligible for a refund of the VAT difference. If this applies to you, you should have been contacted by our Visitor Experience Team, and they will be able to refund the difference on the day of your visit.
If you believe you are eligible for a refund but haven’t been contacted, please call or email our Visitor Experience Team.
The VAT difference can be refunded to you on the day of your visit, or alternatively to get your refund sooner please call our Visitor Reception team on 01328 713111 between 10am-5pm with your booking number and card details and we will be delighted to arrange the refund for you.
The discount applies to Children’s meals only, not individual children’s food item. The discount does not apply to the adult menu in the café.
Yes, if you are a UK school and your visit is within the Great British Summer Savings period, you are eligible for a discount on qualifying tickets.
