What’s on

Meet the Author Prof Ben Garrod (and Jack!)

Meet the author of popular children’s book series, The Adventures of a dog called Jack-Jack! Prof Ben Garrod.

Biologist, broadcaster, and Author Ben Garrod has lived around the world, working with animals from whales to gorillas, but when he met a scruffy little dog who was ‘working’ in west Africa, both their lives changed.

‘The Adventures of a Dog Called Jack-Jack’ is a four-part series, told from Jack’s hilarious own perspective, retelling his early life surrounded by wild animals in rural Africa, his travels to the UK, and why he suspects there’s now a conspiracy regarding walkies and poo-bags…

Please note there are limited free tickets available for this event, please book a slot to guarantee your place.

Join Ben (and Jack) in this fun and interactive event, to test your knowledge on unusual animals, hear exclusive readings from the books, and discover why both Ben and Jack now worry about rubber snakes a lot more than they used to!

Jack-Jack Return of the Chickens by Ben Garrod is published by Zephyr Books on 3rd April, price £7.99 paperback original. Copies will be available to purchase in the Courtyard Gift Shop, but please bring any books you would like Ben to sign.

This event will be held in the Education Room which has level access. Please contact our Visitor Reception if you have any specific accessibility needs or questions- they’ll be happy to help you.
