The Lake at Holkham
The lake, for the most part, follows the line of the original tidal creek, which was dammed and excavated to create what is now a very large and beautiful stretch of water. It is a haven to wildlife. The Nature Trail follows the line of the freshwater lake and has 28 information panels full of interesting facts about the plants, insects and animals to be found here. For a chance to explore Holkham’s watery world, why not hire a rowing boat, canoe or kayak?
Monday 1st July to Sunday 1st September 10am-4.30pm
Please note that the boat hire will not be operating on 6th and 7th July
