October’s Product of the Month: Katherine Barney Ceramics

At our Courtyard Gift Shop, we’re proud to support local artists and businesses by selling their products & artwork. One of our most popular artists, Katherine Barney, supplies us with beautiful hand-painted ceramics: from bowls and jugs, to vases and lamps.

Katherine is local to Norfolk, with her workshop being based in Elsing, and she uses the surrounding countryside as a muse for her pieces. Her ceramics represent all things bright & wonderful – certain to add that splash of colour and imagination to your home.

Her work incorporates gardens, plants and wildlife; aiming to provide a vibrant and colourful expression of our stunning outside world. Katherine herself explains it best, by saying “I basically love colour and nature is the finest source of that”. The ceramics we receive from her to sell in our gift shop reflect this statement entirely: they are truly amazing pieces.

A fine detail that really highlights how unique each piece is: Katherine writes a one-of-a-kind message on the bottom when she is finished. If you do find yourself admiring one of her pieces – check underneath!

If you’re interested in seeing Katherine Barney’s work and would like to snag one for yourself, we sell her work at Holkham Gift Shop – while stocks last! To read more about Katherine and her work, you can follow her Instagram or visit her website. Pieces are also available to commission.
