SCHOOL VISITS IN NORTH NORFOLK

Established five years ago, Holkham’s learning department has welcomed hundreds of school visits to the north Norfolk coast. Holkham provides an ideal opportunity for learning outside the classroom in an inspiring, fun and safe environment. We welcome visits from Nurseries and Primary Schools (EYFS, KS1 & KS2) as well as Secondary and Sixth Form colleges from all around the county and beyond. Our visit programmes are flexible to suit your learning objectives relevant to the national curriculum, teaching through topic or just as an end of year treat!

Excitingly, we have expanded our education programme for 2018. Our hands-on sessions in our six-acre walled garden provide a unique and safe environment where pupils of all ages can learn how plants grow, what they need to survive and how they become the food we all eat – an excellent extension to our popular Food and Farming Day. New additions include our brand new Girlguiding and Scouting Association badge days, where we welcome units and groups the opportunity to earn a badge in a day.

We have also extended our Key Stage 2 programme to include cycling in the traffic free routes of Holkham parkland. Our exciting Cycle Stamp Challenge is an exhilarating, action-packed session which subtly introduces pupils to the food we grow here - you’ll learn very quickly that north Norfolk isn’t flat!

With our stunning rural location on the north Norfolk Coast, an abundance of wildlife and endless learning opportunities a school trip to Holkham is a must!

We look forward to welcoming you to Holkham.
