A taste of autumn at The Victoria
October 23, 2025 | The Victoria | 2 minute read
Autumn has arrived, and with it a new menu at The Victoria that celebrates the best of the season here on the North Norfolk coast. Our chefs have been inspired by the changing landscape around to create dishes that feel comforting, generous, and full of flavour.
The small plates are perfect for sharing, whether it’s mussel fritters with citrus mayonnaise that taste like a breath of sea air, or a twist on a Scotch egg with tender pigeon breast at its heart. They’re designed for grazing, conversation, and enjoying food together.
Among the mains, the lemon and herb crusted cod with Provençale gnocchi is already proving a favourite, while the homemade spinach and beetroot tagliatelle with vegan feta shows just how vibrant and satisfying vegetarian cooking can be. And for those with a sweet tooth, the blackberry crème brûlée and the indulgent assiette of chocolate are a very good excuse to linger a little longer.
We asked a few of the team to share their favourites:
“The muhammara with toasted pitta and walnuts is absolutely delicious, it’s the one I keep going back to.” – Immy on Reception.
“The goat’s cheese bonbons with hot honey beetroot are such a standout. And the hasselback squash surprised me – I never thought I was a squash fan, but this dish has changed my mind.” – Kim in the Restaurant.
“I love the spinach and beetroot tagliatelle. The pasta’s homemade, and nothing beats that.” – Mellie in the Kitchen.
Whether you join us after a walk on the beach, a cycle through the park, or simply to enjoy a leisurely meal with friends, the new autumn menu is all about good food, local produce, and the simple pleasures of the season.
