We are looking for a Trainee Forester to join the team responsible for the trees and woodland across the Holkham Estate.

The Holkham Estate extends over 25,000 acres. The land and property-based activities include residential and commercial lettings, property development, arable and vegetable farming, forestry, country sports, an inn, a holiday park, beaches, car parks, admissions, cafes, shops, concerts and events.
The Trainee Forester reports to the Head Forester, Land and Property. This is an operational role to undertake forestry operations. The likely tasks include plantation maintenance, harvesting (thinning, clear felling and windblow), biomass production, firewood and other woodland related tasks.
A training programme will allow the successful candidate to achieve basic chainsaw courses and knowledge of woodland management.

• Ability to build and maintain good relationships.
• To ensure that all certification, standards, codes of practice and regulations are complied with.
