Heritage Open Day Holkham Pottery Talks
This year at Holkham Estate we are proud to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the start of Holkham Studio Pottery, a much-loved part of our heritage.
As part of our Special Heritage Open Day, visitors will have the opportunity to attend an engaging talk exploring the history of Holkham Studio Pottery, from its early beginnings to the treasured place it still holds today by former employees and collectors around the world.
These fascinating talks will be delivered by our own Holkham Archivist , alongside the Security and Facilities Manager, who is also a passionate collector and enthusiast for Holkham Pottery. Together, they will share stories, insights, and personal knowledge that bring the pottery’s history to life.
The talks will take place in the historic Lady Elizabeth Wing, the former site of Holkham Studio Pottery. Visitors will also be able to explore information panels and historical photographs, offering a glimpse into the craftsmanship, creativity, and community behind this extraordinary enterprise.
Join us as we celebrate twentieth century innovation and entrepreneurship at Holkham.
