Introduction

The Coke family has owned land and property at Holkham for over 400 years and has a long-term interest in the land, the people and the properties that make up the Holkham Estate. The principle of responsible business has been practiced for many generations at Holkham and the understanding that with great privilege comes great responsibility is fundamental to the way in which the estate has been managed in the past and continues to be run today.

At Holkham being a responsible business goes beyond the money that we generate for charities, the buildings and land that we provide for local communities or the work that we do to conserve the environment. We believe that the long term prosperity of Holkham will be achieved by managing the estate in a way that delivers benefits for the environment, our occupiers, our employees and the communities across the estate.
