The main entrance for the public, cars and small coaches to Holkham park, the hall and other attractions, is via the north gates of the estate. For visiting coach parties, due to height and width restrictions at the north gates, it is important that coaches should enter the park via a designated route entering Holkham park at the south gates. The south gates are 3m 48cm wide and there are no height restrictions. The gates are automated and all pre-booked coaches will be issued in advance with an authorisation code to enter. An intercom system at the gates operates for coaches that are not pre-booked.
