Chalk Hill Farm Barns, a new development in north Norfolk

Planning & Development

Chalk Hill Farm Barns

The Holkham Estate Company is starting work on the conversion of a group of former farm buildings at Chalk Hill Farm, Warham into seven unique dwellings. The barns are located to the east of Warham village, 2km east of Wells-next-the-Sea and the project is expected to be completed in spring 2018.

This group of historic, Grade II listed barns date from the late 18th and early 19th century are constructed of brick and flint with pantiled roofs and originally made up a small farmstead consisting of a granary, stables, cow and pig sheds and a threshing barn.

The estate has partnered with Bryan Williams, a north Norfolk barn specialist, to convert these former agricultural buildings into highly sustainable and quality homes. The project is being overseen by local architect Ian Cable.
