General Manager - Visitor Businesses
After nearly ten years in the role, the General Manager for Holkham Hall and Holkham Visitor Businesses is leaving later this year to take up a position responsible for an entire estate in the Home Counties.
We are looking to appoint a successor to this pivotal role in Holkham’s senior management team. This role reports directly to Holkham Estate’s Managing Director and works closely with the Earl and Countess of Leicester. The position has six direct reports and a team that rises above 150-strong in the peak summer months plus an energetic team of 80+ volunteers.
The direct reports are Visitor Operations Manager, Catering Manager, Head Gardener, Hall Manager, Learning and Sustainability Manager and a Weddings and Events Manager.
The businesses and activities within this remit are extensive. They include three cafes, four car parks, a full calendar of public events, a weddings and conference business, visitor attractions including Holkham Hall, Gift Shop, Exhibition, 6-acre Walled Garden, schools and education programmes, Christmas, Easter and holiday events, classical and pop concerts, food festivals, triathlons, sporting events, outdoor theatre and cinema.
