2010 – Bjorn Again
Ardent ABBA fans flocked to Holkham on Saturday 4th September for the ‘Perfect Pop Party’ in the park with the internationally acclaimed Björn Again Show. The weather was absolutely perfect for this picnic event in the south park and, as the evening light faded, the hall formed an illuminated backdrop, creating an idyllic scene.
Followers of the group dug out their flares and platforms and joined in an evening of incredible entertainment and unforgettable memories. The show was a true celebration of everything that was great about music in the 70’s and 80’s!
The support act was the ‘Original’ Bucks Fizz, 80’s sensation and Eurovision Winners and famous for their skirt ripping routine with their worldwide no1 hit ‘Making Your Mind Up’.
The Björn Again show was created, by Australian musician and director Rod Stephen in l988. It is not seen as a copy or tribute act but as a show in its own right having been endorsed by all the members of ABBA and is recognised today as an international brand all on its own producing a show, which has reached worldwide cult status, and has appeared at venues as varied as Kew Gardens through to Glastonbury.
The show has been described by Led Zeppelin’s lead singer Robert Plant as ‘Absolutely Fantastic’ and ‘Brilliant’ by Sport Guru Des Lynham. The promoters of the concert, Live Promotions, report that the show at Holkham had been a massive success.
