Summer Tours of the Private Gardens
Sunday 15th July, 11am, 1pm & 3pm
Join one of our gardeners to enjoy a wonderful opportunity to view the private gardens surrounding Holkham Hall, which are normally closed to the public. See the spectacular arboretum with its many unusual and rare specimen trees resplendent at the height of summer.
Learn about the valuable work of the Gardens Department at Holkham and how they maintain the intricate patterns of the formal parterres on the terraces, designed by leading landscape gardener W.A Nesfield in the 19th century.
Booking is essential as these tours are popular. Each tour will last approximately one hour. We are sorry, but dogs are not permitted on the tours. We suggest you wear suitable footwear for walking in parkland and come prepared for all weathers.
Tickets: Adult £10, Child £5. Pre-booking is advisable as these tours are popular. Tickets will be available to purchase shortly.

Arrival and parking: The main entrance for the public is via the north gates of the estate. Enter NR23 1RH into your sat. nav. system. You will be met by one of our parking attendants who will direct you accordingly. An all-day parking charge of £3 applies, redeemable on purchases of £12 in the gift shop. Please ensure that you bring your ticket(s) with you to show on arrival.
Please ensure that you are outside the Ticket Office 10 minutes before the tour is due to start. Dene Wood, our Head Gardener, will be there to meet you. The gardens you will visit are located in the private area surrounding the hall and therefore it is imperative that everyone is gathered before moving off.
Clothing and equipment: We suggest you wear suitable footwear for walking over grass and uneven terrain and come prepared for all weathers.
