Spring Tours of the Private Gardens

Sunday 27th May, 11am, 1pm & 3pm

Join one of our landscape team to enjoy a wonderful opportunity to view the private gardens at Holkham Hall, which are normally closed to the public.

See the spectacular arboretum with its many unusual and rare specimen trees, the magnolia trees and the Tulip Tree resplendent at this time of year, the new foliage emerging on the acers and the carpet of bluebells in a variety of colours.

View the intricate patterns of the formal parterres on the terraces surrounding Holkham Hall, designed by leading landscape gardener W.A. Nesfield in the 19th century. His work can also be found at Kew Gardens.

Tickets: Adult £10, Child £5. Pre-booking is essential as these tours are popular. Tickets will be available to purchase shortly.
Each Tour will last approximately one hour. We are sorry, but dogs are not permitted on the tours.

Arrival and parking: The main entrance for the public is via the north gates of the estate. Enter NR23 1RH into your sat. nav. system. You will be met by one of our parking attendants who will direct you accordingly. An all-day parking charge of £3 applies, redeemable on purchases of £12 in the gift shop. Please ensure that you bring your ticket(s) with you to show on arrival.

Please ensure that you are outside the Ticket Office 10 minutes before the tour is due to start. Dene Wood, our Head Gardener, will be there to meet you. The gardens you will visit are located in the private area surrounding the hall and therefore it is imperative that everyone is gathered before moving off.

Clothing and equipment: We suggest you wear suitable footwear for walking over grass and uneven terrain and come prepared for all weathers.
