An Evening with Tim Bentinck
Saturday 12th October, 6.45pm
We are delighted to be hosting this very special event in the Marble Hall at Holkham, in aid of the north Norfolk charity Heritage House, a day care centre for the elderly, lonely and vulnerable in nearby Wells-next-the-Sea.
Tim Bentinck (aka David Archer in the Archers and 12th Earl of Portland) is one of Britain’s best-loved, witty and erudite actors. An accomplished stage, radio, film and television actor, Tim is also a top voice artist, dubbing specialist, inventor, writer, travel journalist, computer programmer and musician.
Join us in Holkham Hall where the evening will begin with champagne and canapés in one of the state rooms. We will then gather in the magnificent Marble Hall to hear Tim in conversation with Anne Oxborough, where he will entertain the audience with stories and tales of his hugely rich and varied life- from being the voice of ‘Mind the Gap’ on the Piccadilly line, to tales from The Archers and not forgetting that he is the only Earl currently working as a professional actor.
Tim has kindly written a short ‘Archer’s’ script that will be auctioned off on the evening with the opportunity for people to bid to perform with him on the stage at Holkham. He will also be closing the evening with a book signing. Jewellery designer Monica Vinader is kindly donating some of her beautiful diamond jewellery for the raffle.
Tickets £40 Includes a glass of champagne and canapés. To book click on the button below or call our ticket office on 01328 713111.
