Transition Activities
Whether your students are moving between Key Stages or making the jump from Primary to Secondary Education we can support you and them. A cycle tour of the farmland or a den building session provide excellent ways to introduce students to each other, promote behavioural expectations, a working ethos and develop teamwork. For younger pupils, simply a visit to us reinforces school ready behaviour in an exciting yet safe environment.

Suitable for Key Stages One, Two and Three.

SEMH – Social, emotional wellbeing and mental health
Working alongside other professionals we can offer sessions to support resilience, behaviour and anxiety. Workshops could include mindfulness, nature walks, art workshops, gardening activities, bird watching and forest yoga.

Suitable for Key Stages Two and Three.

Teamwork and problem solving
Our team can deliver a programme of different, hands-on tasks to test communication, teamwork and problem solving. Scenarios and practical exercises test even the closest group of pupils improving social skills, independence and promoting self confidence. This session compliments Transition Activities extremely well.

Suitable for Key Stages One, Two and Three.

Stress management and resilience
Statistics show that more and more young people are struggling to deal with the stresses of everyday life. Our workshops can offer practical solutions to help deal with time management, prioritisation, exam and peer pressure as well as providing a quiet, natural environment for learners to self-reflect and practice relaxation techniques.

Suitable for Key Stages Three and Four.

Exam and Revision Techniques
Our experienced teaching staff can deliver workshops that can teach your students how to learn, organise their time, prepare mentally for exams and how to revise effectively. The sessions are based around the concept of ‘Brain Friendly Learning’ and are very interactive. Ideally students in Year 10 would undertake a Study Skills Workshop and then a Revision Workshop in Year 11 although the courses do stand alone.

Suitable for Key Stage Four.

Summer Schools and Holiday Activities
Learning at school often extends well beyond traditional term dates. If you are delivering Summer Schools or activities during any of the school holidays do get in touch to see how we could work together. Our teaching staff have previously coordinated Literacy Summer Schools and Gifted and Talented activities. The natural landscape, walled garden, different habitats and the treasures within the Hall mean that we can draw on a wide range of resources and activities to support Science, Literacy, Numeracy, Geography, Art and History.

Suitable for Key Stages Three and Four.

Peer Mentoring
Why not let us help you to develop a student support network within your school? Bring recruited students to the hall for an interactive training session that will develop communication, teamwork and problem-solving activities. The workshop also introduces scenarios and safeguarding that will allow them work with other students to support transition activities and share skills and information.

Suitable for Key Stages Three and Four.

SEND – Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
We are able to support students and visitors with a range of SEND needs and can develop bespoke courses and workshops to enhance learning. The unique environment of hall, landscape, walled garden and diverse habitats lends itself to sensory exploration and kinaesthetic learning including interactive guided tours.

Suitable for Key Stages Two and Three.

Please note
For learners with limited mobility our Field to Fork Experience is all on one level and the trailer used for the Farm Tours has ramp access and seats that can be folded to accommodate wheelchairs and scooters. Please see the Accessibility section of the website for more information about access to the hall and grounds.
