During the UK’s lockdown, the staff at The Victoria Inn decided they would like to help the community in the best way they knew how; by feeding people. In her own words, Lauren tells us more, including her personal reasons for wanting to play her part during the pandemic.

Holkham’s Sam Proctor pledges to cycle a minute for every meal prepared and delivered to our NHS Heroes by the team at The Victoria Inn. That equates to more than ten hours a week! So, from 19th April, join Sam via live streaming on our social media channels as he cycles to raise money for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn Charitable Trust.

After the temporary closure of The Victoria Inn on Saturday 21st March due to the COVID-19 crisis, the team, Holkham’s Go Help champions and a raft of volunteers from across the Holkham estate and surrounding area turned their attention to how they could help the most vulnerable members within the local community. What began as an initiative to feed those most in need, quickly developed into an endeavour to support and provide freshly prepared meals for the staff at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn.
