INTRODUCTORY TALK ON THE USE OF HOLKHAM LINSEED PAINTS

Following a 2.30pm start, we aim to give a brief background on the history of linseed oil paints, to illustrate the talk with examples of work undertaken in Sweden by Hans Allbäck, the manufacturer of the paint, and on the Holkham Estate by Estate craftsmen. There will be an opportunity to view the estate workshop and paint shop in action and finally to see a couple of Estate houses ‘before and after’ the linseed oil and paint treatment. The seminar should finish at approximately 5pm.

The course is free of charge, but places are limited and will be issued on a first come first served basis.
