MAINTENANCE
OIL
 |
Linseed Oil Paints age visibly. After
a while (about 6 to 7 years) the paint starts to fade. After a further
period of time (10 to 15 years) the paint becomes chalky as the
pigment seeps out.
By brushing clean and applying a coat of warm Maintenance Oil the
surface regains its former gloss and function, as both the wood
and pigment are nourished.
Available in 1 and 5 litre bottles. |
This picture shows just what a difference
applying a coat of warmed raw linseed oil or maintenance oil can
do. This door was left rather longer than we would recommend at
15 years with no maintenance, however the paint had still protected
the door and the colour has still revived with just one coat of
oil.
