PUTTY
LAMP
Using The Putty
Lamp you can safely remove every pane of glass!

Restoration of
old windows requires that every pane of the original hand-blown glass
is carefully removed and reused so as to retain authenticity and cut
costs. The Putty Lamp now makes this possible.
The Putty Lamp
softens the old, stone-hard linseed-oil putty used to seal glass into
its casement. Once softened, the putty can be gently scraped away and
the pane of glass removed - completely undamaged.
The Putty Lamp
revolutionizes window restoration
Infrared heat
for fast putty removal without dust. vibration or noise
| Focused infrared heat is
used to soften hard old window putty. The Putty Lamp is positioned
on the glass and casement along the putty strip. Putty both above
and beneath the glass is softened in seconds by a heat line produced
by the lamp. The softened putty is easily removed with a knife.
Heat is immediate and intensity is adjustable. |
|
The infrared rays pass
through the glass without causing the glass itself to heat, and
without damaging glass or casement. Once the glass has been removed,
effective methods can be employed to renovate the casement and fittings.
Many complicated window restoration projects are now possible for
the first time thanks to the Putty Lamp. |
