Holkham Pottery
Pottery was produced at Holkham Hall for more than 50 years, making it one of the oldest established potteries in the country. Sadly Holkham Pottery ceased manufacture in September 2007.
In 1951 Elizabeth, Countess of Leicester, and wife of the fifth Earl, founded the pottery to make small, hand-thrown souvenirs for visitors to the Hall and the collection grew to include a wide array of pottery ranges from floristware, tableware, lamps and mugs.
In 2004, Holkham Pottery collaborated with Matthew Rice of Bridgewater Pottery to launch a range of mugs, which celebrated the county of Norfolk.
A limited range of the pottery is still available from the Gift Shop in the Park during the visitors' season. Alternatively, it can be found all-year round at The Ancient House Gift Shop on the main A149 at Holkham Village.
