Concerts in the Park

The Holkham Estate has hosted high quality concerts in the park over the last two years but they have announced they will not be organising concerts this year.

Holkham attracted world famous opera star José Carreras, rhythm and blues king Jools Holland and big names such as Girls Aloud, Jamelia and Status Quo to the picturesque setting of the North Norfolk estate.

Viscount Coke said: “We have had two very successful years and when we started to look at names to book for this year naturally we wished to repeat the same high standard.

“Many of the bands we would have liked to sign up for this year were not touring in late August or early September and we were not prepared to drop the standard of music set so far at Holkham.

“Therefore we took the decision to not hold the concerts this year but we are already planning for next year and will review our dates so we can book some of the big names for Holkham for 2009,” Lord Coke added.
