Welcome to the education resources section
We are able to provide many inspiring resources for a wide variety of educational uses and it gives me great pleasure to introduce this year’s programme.
Encouraging schools to explore and learn from the many opportunities and advantages the estate has to offer, we welcome all types of educational visits. The Hall, Walled Garden, Parkland, Nature Reserves and wildlife provide fascinating subjects for both a National Curriculum focus and for the general experience and enjoyment of pupils. The aim is to make visits relevant, not only from an educational perspective, but also for school children to learn a little bit of our history and to understand the workings of an estate that has had to adapt with times.
The team have consolidated what we offer making it easier for you to choose from our programme – a real highlight for me is our Food and Farming Day which combines a visit to our Field to Fork Experience with a Trailer Tour around our farms. The combination of interactive displays, audio, film and authentic artefacts with the real life experience of seeing food growing in the fields is a unique opportunity for children to learn first-hand how we produce the food on your fork.
